Kurt stepped off the fire
escape onto the roof and muttered, "I cannot believe I’m doing this."
Bobby laughed as he dropped
the two rolled up sleeping bags he was carrying and took Kurt’s hand, leading
him to the edge so they could sit on the parapet. "Welcome to my world."
"Breathtaking,"
Kurt whispered in awe. The city was spread out before them, the sun’s last glow
on the horizon limning the buildings in golds and reds, and flashing off
darkened windows. Even as they watched, the sun disappeared. Lights on the
streets below mapped the city with their brightness against the dark
surrounding them.
"Awesome isn’t it?"
"Incredibly so. Why
haven’t I ever seen this before?"
"Maybe because you live
down there, not up here."
"Or perhaps because I
never met someone who wanted to show me what I’ve been missing."
Bobby knew he could have
made a risqué comment, probably would have in the past, but the last thing he
wanted to do at the moment was break the mood which had developed between them.
He wrapped his arms around Kurt’s waist, smiling when Kurt covered his hands
with his own. They sat that way for many minutes just savoring their closeness
before Kurt shivered.
"Cold?" Bobby
asked.
"A bit but also…"
Carefully Kurt turned so he could cup Bobby’s face in his hands. "I was
thinking how nice it would be to kiss you."
"The whole world is
watching."
Kurt smiled. "I doubt
it, but if they are so what." He did kiss him, very gently at first. It
deepened almost instantly when Bobby responded hungrily, and continued as they
explored each others mouths, seeking to learn tastes and textures.
The kiss ended abruptly when
Kurt leaned a bit too much to one side. Bobby stopped him from falling with a
shouted "Damn!" as he dragged them both off the parapet onto the
roof. "Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"
"No, but I think…"
Kurt took deep panicked breaths as he stared at where they’d just been sitting.
"It’s okay, you’re
okay." Bobby told him, maintaining his hold on him until his breathing
returned to normal, "But no more edge sitting until you learn to pay
attention."
Kurt tried a grin, almost
succeeding. "I was paying attention…to what we were doing."
"Yeah, yeah." He
felt Kurt shiver again and wrapped his arms tighter around him. "Okay, you
are cold. I think it’s time to spread out the bags and get you warmed up."
Chuckling, Kurt asked, "Is
there some sort of double entendre in that statement?"
"Damned straight there
is." Bobby got up, holding out his hand. When Kurt took it he pulled him
to his feet and into another kiss before going to where he dropped the sleeping
bags. Soon he had one spread out and sat down, patting the spot beside him.
Amazing part! I about scream when they started leaning towards the edge. Are we gonna get the great stuff next time? How do they are going to go until they get really involved with their passion!
